07/05/05 - Updated some more games. I should be pretty much up to date except for some of the literature and misc. items.

I'm also trying to wean myself of Dreamweaver and I'm starting to do most of the html coding by hand. (4.5 hours)

06/11/05 - Once again, there goes another quarter. We just got back from the UW graduation ceremony (my Master's and Jon's BS). I just updated all the games I got (8 Hours)

03/26/05 - Once again, there goes another quarter. One a happy note, I just finished my Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering! Now, on to more school.

I updated most of the games that I got during the last quarter and they should be posted now. (5 hours)

01/02/05 - Happy new year! Well, I guess this is the last you'll hear from me for another 3 months since school starts again tommorrow. Hopefully, I'll be updating this more often. I also added to the links page. (1 Hours).

12/28/04 - Man, scanning in all those magazine covers took a lot of time. (5 Hours).

12/25/04 - Merry Christmas again! I added a Game Literature section. I still need pictures of all the other magazine covers that I've got at the apartment. (1 Hour).

12/24/04 - Just doing some more updates. I spent most of the time working on my professional webpage but I did update some of the games on this page. I also added The Legend of Zelda to the game series page. (3 Hours).

12/23/04 - I'm trying to start another webpage that I can use as a professional page. You can check it out here. Let me know if you have any suggestions on how to improve it. I've got a lot of stuff to move over there and I spent most of my time just getting things organized and running.

On a positive note, Alison and I went to the Nutcracker last night, it was great! (4 Hours)

12/18/04 - Well, there's another quarter gone. I'm almost finished my Masters degree now, I've only got 1 class left to go.

I put in a ton of hours into the webpage. Mostly, I updated the gaming section so that it is the most accurate and compelete that its ever been. I think I've got all the information up to date. I also added a Game Series section which I hope to rotate from the front of the games page once a week.

I also rearranged all the pictures so that now, I've grouped some of the pictures into trips (ie to Hawaii, to Sweden, etc). You can check them out here. (12 hours)

10/29/04 - Wow, I actually got to update during the school season! I just updated some gaming information and now I've got to run back home. (1 hour)

09/26/04 - Me and Alison just got back from Sweden. I have to download a whole bunch of photos but right now, I only updated the games. (1.5 hours)

09/05/04 - Wow, we just got back from our family trip so I updated some of the games that we picked up during the trip. (1.5 hours)

08/22/04 - Man, I finally got some free time to really sit down and work on some of the improvements that I wanted to make with the site. Let's list off the updates

1. Updated all the games in the collection.

2. Finished the Game Covers page.

3. Added a Games Beaten page.

4. Added a Game Room page.

5. Added a Weekly Character feature

I also figured out how to do mouse over features. Now I've got to go back down to Hood River to go back to work on Monday, this is my last week of the internship. (8 hours)

06/20/04 - I've been spending a lot of time collecting/formatting/posting pictures for the screen shots of all the video games. You should check them out, they're pretty cool. (6 hours)

05/28/04 - Man, there's practically another quarter gone by. I've still got a week left of school, but I found some time to relax, play some games, and post some new stuff. I'm changing the format of the game's page so I can include screenshots of all the games. I'm in the process of adding screenshots to all the games. Its fun for people who like to remember what the game was like.

Speaking of that, I got an email from a guy in Turkey today because he saw my site and wanted to now more information about the MatLab D/A DAS1602 card. Its nice to see that other people actually check out my page. (2 Hours)

03/22/04 - Well, that's another quarter gone. During school, it really feels like I only have time to update my webpage once I'm on break. Its kind of late now, so I'm going to go to bed, I'll work on the page more during break. In the meantime, I added a new game spending section so we can document how much we spend on the collection. I also added my MatLab functions to be available for download in the School section (2 hours)

12/25/03 - Merry Christmas! Wow, its been 3 months since I last updated this webpage. Starting graduate school doesn't give you a lot of time to make updates. I basically made additions to the games page since this is where the most changes occured. We basically got an Xbox and a lot of games for Christmas, so I had to add stuff. (2 hours)

09/25/03 - I was cleaning out my apartment yesterday and found about 20 CDs that my old room-mate gave to me. I didn't really want any of them so I traded them in at a second hand CD store. I only got $18 credit so I got two used games, Starwars Starfighter for PS2 and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six for Dreamcast. (0.5 Hours)

09/20/03 - I've been really busy lately with summer coming to a close. I've been trying to get ready for my TA position in the fall in graduate school.

Concerning the webpage, I've gone ahead and done some improvements which include adding some additional biking movies and kitfox movies.

I also made a lot of improvements to the games page with a lot more pictures and reviews on a lot of games. I've started adding some of the additional game media to certain games. Mostly these are character sprites which are pretty cool. (6 Hours)

09/10/03 - I uploaded some of the movies from the Tapeworm bike ride in the biking movies section. I also uploaded some of the cool PS-Jon movies here. They're super funny so you should check them out. (2 Hours)

09/07/03 - Today was a pretty productive day. I finished the kitfox construction timeline and some more of the bike maintenance pages (truing a rim and patching a flat tube).

I also bought a Sega Dreamcast today at Software Etc. for only $29.99, so I added some stuff about the Dreamcast in the games section.

I also uploaded some of the biking pictures that we took when we rode the tapeworm trail in Renton, they're pretty cool so you should check them out. (3 Hours)

09/06/03 - I was planning on spending all night working on the webpage, but I had to repair my hydraulic brakes on my bike since they blew out the bike ride today. This inspired me to start a bike maintenance/repairs page which can be seen here.

I also uploaded some new flying photos in the pictures section. (3 Hours)

09/03/03 - I wanted to spend most of the afternoon working on the webpage, but as I was biking home, my rear tire when flat and I had to walk about 1.5 miles. This put me a little behind schedule. Luckily, I already did most of the work and just needed to post it.

I took pictures of a lot of the gaming hardware and wrote reviews for most of them. I also compressed some biking movies. I only had time to basically put up the links to them, but hopefully I'll have a nicer bike page shortly. You can check out the videos here.

As usual, the time I spent on the page includes time I used to compress the video, take pictures, etc. (4 Hours)

08/31/03 - Did a lot of work on the webpage today. The first thing I did was get a hit counter for the main page. Now I can see how many people come to my site! I got it for from from www.sitemeter.com, its pretty easy to install and you should check it out.

I also did a lot of work with the game section where I added all the hardware for all the systems. I still need a few photos and need to write a lot of reviews. Hopefully Teabean and Nin-JACK! will be able to help out with this.

Lastly, I tried to continue on with the Kitfox contruction timeline, but its going slow. (5 Hours)

08/30/03 - Me and Jon when biking today in Saint Edwards Park and took lots of movies and pictures. The movies should be posted in the biking section soon. I basically spent my time today archiving the photos and movies. I also posted a few new pictures in the biking and dog section. I also added a new panorama of the Saint Edwards Trials riding section of the park, its pretty cool. (1 Hour)

08/26/03 - Today I worked on updating my online resume so that it opens when you click on it. I figured out that you need to save it as a .PDF instead of a .DOC. I also found out that you can save .XLS files as .HTM files so that they open when you click on them. I'm not sure if you can reconvert these back to Excel files or not.

I also updated the page about the kitfox with new stuff about the construction timeline of the project. I mostly scanned in images today and worked on the formatting. It shouldn't take much longer to finish this section (3 Hours)

08/23/03 - I spend most of today on Bainbridge Island with Alison. Luckily, the weather was very nice and we were able to take a lot of photos to make two new panoramas. I found out with the ADG panorama program that sometimes, less is more. In other words, it tends to choke if you take pictures every 2 degrees. However, it also chokes if you take too few (ie one every 30 degrees). What I like to do it simply take a lot of photos, and then pick and choose which ones to use in the panorama. I fixed some of the old panoramas using this technique.

Gid also wrote a review of Kingdom Hearts, which I've posted. Hopefully, I'll have his profile and Jon's profile up soon.

Lastly, I also posted a picture of the Kitfox taking off on floats. I want to try and put up stuff about the project from start to finish when I get a chance. Check out the video here. (3 Hours)

08/23/03 - Today I finished and updated most of the games sections. Now all of the systems have game review pages (some don't have reviews yet, I'm waiting on Jon and Tim to write them). Hopefully, I can start on the hardware and custom systems (PS-Jon) soon.

I also added some things to the school section. Now you can view my resume, watch a video about the inverted pendulum, and download the final report for my senior design controls project. (4 Hours)

08/22/03 - SKI MOVIES ARE HERE!!!. You can finally watch a streaming media version of Air Raiders 2 from the comfort of your own computer!

Today was spend almost entirely on webpage stuff. I compressed all of the videos that I need for the near future. I also added the links and coded them so that they'll work in Window's Media Player.

I also updated the research into different compression schemes. You can find the data here.

After work, I walked around the UW campus and took a lot of pictures to use for panoramas. I took shots of the quad, red square, and the fountain. I couldn't use the fountain becuase I used too big spacing between photos. I think that Jon is right an you should take a photo every 10 degrees or so for around 35 pictures per panorama. I'll have to experiment more with these.

Lastly, I also updated the Dogs page with movies and stuff about Murphy and added some stuff to the biking accessories page. (6 Hours)

08/21/03 - Boy, I did a lot of work on this baby, but haven't had time to upload it all. I finally got the streaming media to work and compressed most of my videos. I haven't done the links, but it'll be up very soon. I had to do some more experimentation with different compression schemes, but that'll be up later.

Jon also got this cool shareware panorama maker which takes photos and then turns them into interactive panoramas. You should definately check it out at here. I'll be posting more of these as time goes on. (6.5 Hours)

08/19/03 - Although it looks like I haven't updated this in several days, I've been working hard on the page. Mostly, I've finished all of the game review pages for the PS2, GBA, and Gamecube. I also added a cool navigation bar for the games page so you can move from system to system easily. I also spent a lot of time writing reviews for all the games that I played (I've contracted out to Jon and Time to write the other ones)

I spend half of last Saturday going through all 14 mini DV tapes that we have and reviewing the contents so I could find some movies for the website. I spent a couple hours at work trying to compress them. Since the have sound, this makes .AVI files not as nice as .MPG file. I'll try to evaluate the compression scheme later and post it on the website.

I made lots of minor little changes to other pages, so you should check them out. (8 Hours)

08/15/03 - I did a whole lot of webpage work today. I setup my studio outside (a white piece of wood) and shot pictures of all the gaming sections. I then used Photoshop to extract all of the necessary images. I used some of the images today, and I'll probably use some later. I also finished putting up all the reviews (that I wrote) for the Gamecube and GBA.

I also reorganized all of the images. Naturally, this destroyed all of my old links, so I had to rewrite them all. (5 Hours)

08/14/03 - Today I worked on compressing the movies taken from my digital camera to something smaller. I used Ulead's Media Studio Pro. I tried many different compression schemes and found that AVIs compressed using the DivX Mpeg-4 Fast Motion mode seem to work the best. I decided to use this compression scheme and make the window a 352 x 240 pixel size. It seems that the size of AVIs are greatly affected by window size. However, it appears that MPEGs are independent of window size. For more information on the compression summary, click here. (2 Hours)

08/13/03 - I didn't get a chance to do much, but I made the Gamecube games page. Now you can link to the game reviews that I wrote up yesterday. I'm biking back to the U District because I have to go to Costco and work. (0.5 Hours)

08/12/03 - I finished up the skiing accessories page. Also, I made the skiing pictures photo gallery, but I still need to annotate the photos. I also started taking pictures of some of the gaming systems and hardware in prepration for working on the gaming page. I also setup the game review template so that I can start reviewing games. I've finished the pages for Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Master Quest. I also set up a gaming review system page so people who read the pages can see how my rating system works. Overall, today was a very productive web design day. (6 Hours)

08/11/03 - I added some more to the Skiing Accessories section. I also finished up the ski specs page. To view it go to Skiing > Gear and Setup > Skis/Boots/Bindings Specs. If anybody has anymore information concerning any of the gear, please let me know and I will update it.

I also finally got some of the movies up in my Cliff Jumping Movies section. They are AVI files and should open up in Window's Media Player when you click on the link. They're a little large, so if you know of a way to shrink the size, please let me know. (5 Hours)

08/10/03 - Finished up the Biking Accessories section. The entire Biking Gear and Setup Section should be complelely finished. Also started working on the Ski Gear and Setup section. I took most of the photos that I needed today and work on the photos. I also figured out how to get movies to play automatically when you click on them. Hopefully, I'll have some movies up next time I work on the page.

08/07/03 - I just started my webpage. Jon is helping me a lot with some of the programs that I'm using to make the page. Currently, the Pictures and Activites sections are up and running.

I also did alot of work previously, but I just didn't actually record my progress here.
