This
is the sixth one of the conference series on the Asian crisis that began
in 1997. (The previous ones were held in
Seattle 1998, Seattle 2000,
Tokyo, Japan 2001,
Taipei, Taiwan 2002, and Chuncheon,
Korea 2003.) Papers that analyze the causes and effects of the crisis, and the
recent recovery of these countries, their economic growth and
development, and their economic relations with the rest of the world are most welcome. Papers for
presentation can be either theoretical or empirical.

draft of your paper (or an extended abstract 300 – 500
words), together with your name, mailing and e-mail addresses,
phone and fax numbers, affiliation and academic position to (e-mail

a paper is accepted, a version for presentation will be due on
July 25, 2004.

participants are encouraged to find their own resources for traveling and
accommodation, partial travel subsidies are available to a limited number
of participants. If you need a subsidy, please state the amount requested
and the lowest round-trip airfare between your city and Tokyo.
