I am a professor and chair of the Department of Technical Communication at the University of Washington (UWTC), and am adjunct in Industrial Engineering here at UW.  I am the founder and Director of the Laboroatory of Usability Testing and Evaluation (LUTE) and a member of the DUB group, an emerging alliance of faculty and students across the UW exploring human computer interaction and design.here at the university.
