SIPEM Installation at the Duesseldorf
International Airport in Germany
The most recent application of the SIPEM
technology is to provide a connection between an ICE
(InterCity Express - German high speed train) station and the
Dusseldorf International Airport terminal. An
illustration of this connectivity concept is provided
as is a
map of the route between the ICE station and the
terminal. This line is under construction as of February 21,
1999.
Two recent photos of early construction activity are
available and more details can been seen at the
Duesseldorf International Airport website .
This technology is highly similar to the SIPEM
technology that has been operating at Dortmund University for
many years. Details on this application are available an the
SIPEM website .
