Public lectures
I regularly give lectures for public audiences, two recent examples include lectures at the Centre Internationale de Recontres Mathematiques in Marseille, France, and at the National Museum of Mathematics in New York City.
Art projects and shows
I've worked on several projects at the intersection of math and art:
Axiomatic was a collaboration with visual artist Timea Tihanyi, supported by the Simpson Center for the Humanities
I've presented pieces in group shows at the Center on Contemporary Art in Seattle, the Schack Art Center in Everett, Gallery Pegasus in Bellingham, and the Seattle Universal Math Museum, and will be presenting a piece at the Georgetown Steam Plant in September 2025. A gallery of images associated to this project is here, and a writeup about this project here.
I am part of the Illustrating Mathematics community, and will be a senior faculty at the Winter 2026 program at the Institut Henri Poincare.
