UNIVerse (Lexis-Nexis) - UW Restricted
- Contains hundreds of national and international news sources,
including some files in Spanish, French, German and Italian.
Most files are searchable in their entirety, some going back to the early
1980's and most updated daily.
- Ethnic
NewsWatch- UW Restricted
- Indexes over 170 ethnic, minority and native publications currently
published in the United States. Coverage extends back to 1991 and is
updated monthly. Search in either English or Spanish; articles originally
published in Spanish are not translated; all other material is in English.
- National
Newspapers - UW Restricted
- Indexes 9 U.S. newspapers (Atlanta Constitution, Boston Globe, Chicago
Tribune, Christian Science Monitor, LA Times, New York Times, USA Today,
Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post). Most titles are available in
full text at this site beginning in 1995,
with the New York Times being the major exception.
- Washington
State Newsstand - UW Restricted
- A partially full text database that indexes the Puget Sound Business
Journal, Seattle P-I, Seattle Times, Spokesman Review, Tacoma News
Tribune, and Vancouver Sun.

- Search Engines
- Utilize search engines to find webpages concerning your topic.
Helpful search engines include Google,
Alta Vista, and Fast Search.
- American
History from 1865
- Includes links to general american studies sites, biographical sites,
sites arranged chronologically, and much more. All sites are evaluated
and selected by the UW Libraries History Studies Librarian.
- Pacific
Northwest History
- Includes general Pacific Northwest sites, regional sites, and more;
all of which are evaluated and selected by the Libraries History Studies
Librarian.
