Provides historical coverage of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present. Includes information abstracted from over 2,000 journals published worldwide.

Expanded Academic Index - UW Restricted
Provides indexing and abstracting for approximately 1,500 scholarly and general interest periodicals, covering all major fields of study in the humanities, social sciences, and science and technology.

Research Library - UW Restricted
Indexing and full text for a basic collection of general-interest, humanities, social science and science periodicals and newspapers; 1986 to present.

Newspaper Indexes

Academic UNIVerse (Lexis-Nexis) - UW Restricted
Contains hundreds of national and international news sources, including some files in Spanish, French, German and Italian. Most files are searchable in their entirety, some going back to the early 1980's and most updated daily.

Ethnic NewsWatch- UW Restricted
Indexes over 170 ethnic, minority and native publications currently published in the United States. Coverage extends back to 1991 and is updated monthly. Search in either English or Spanish; articles originally published in Spanish are not translated; all other material is in English.

National Newspapers - UW Restricted
Indexes 9 U.S. newspapers (Atlanta Constitution, Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, Christian Science Monitor, LA Times, New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post). Most titles are available in full text at this site beginning in 1995, with the New York Times being the major exception.

Washington State Newsstand - UW Restricted
A partially full text database that indexes the Puget Sound Business Journal, Seattle P-I, Seattle Times, Spokesman Review, Tacoma News Tribune, and Vancouver Sun.

American History from 1865
