The Galactic Discovery Project is dedicated to help teach future data-mining astronomers the tools and techniques being used today. A unique feature of this project is its authors: a team of undergraduate students who developed all exercises and wrote all tutorials. The exercises are based on the Milky Way structure research being done at the University of Washington by prof. Željko Ivezić, his collaborators, and his students.
