Lauren has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. She was awarded a Graduate Research Fellowship from the NSF. She advanced to PhD candidacy in May of 2010. Her dissertation research focuses on the use of postcranial fossils of K-T mammals to interpret changes in locomotor diversity in relation to the K-T mass extinction and the ensuing biotic recovery and radiation. With Greg, she developed an innovative geology and paleontology program for K-12 educators called the Discoveries in Geosciences (DIG) Field School.
