Electrochemical Printer Modeling Aaron Loe The purpose of this project was to reproduce and expand a working model of an electrochemical printer. Specifically, this project focused on expanding the model to involve multiple chemistries, Ni2+ and Cu2+. My experiment solved the electrochemical model for Ni2+ using the steady state Nernst-Planck model with Electroneutrality (and an incompressible Navier-Stokes analysis to solve for all relevant velocity fields). Shown above is my main result, the axi-symmetric concentration gradient of Ni2+ on conductive substrate. |
