For the UW Community:

The Foster Business Plan Competition:
The Business Plan Competition provides
an opportunity for business and science students to present new business
plans to Seattle area venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and investors and
has awarded over one million dollars in prize money.

Environmental Innovation Challenge:
interdisciplinary student teams define an environmental problem, design a
solution, produce a prototype, and create a business summary that
demonstrates market opportunity and the potential for impact.

The
Lavin Program: The Lavin Program is for any incoming student who is
interested in gaining a better understanding of entrepreneurship. The Lavin
Program
combines hands-on learning and curriculum to give Lavin students the
experience, skills, and know-how to succeed in their future business
ventures.

Entrepreneurship Week:
Entrepreneurship Week features Seattle’s high-profile geeks, entrepreneurs,
venture capital firms, and big thinkers. The goal is simple: a calendar of
events with something for everyone who has a passion for, or interest in,
entrepreneurship.

CoMotion: As America’s number one federally funded public
university, UW is producing innovations that have the power to change the
world. CoMotion provides UW researchers with an excellent environment for
starting new technology companies
Undergraduate Clubs:

Startup UW: Startup UW connects
undergraduate students with other students interested in entrepreneurship.
This club is organized under the Foster School of Business but is open to
students in all majors.

Social Entrepreneurship Club at UW: SEC-UW
empowers students to become social entrepreneurs by instilling the basics of
business strategy and helping them understand the process for starting and
maintaining an organization.

Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club: The Entrepreneurship and
Venture Capital Club
informs, inspires, and empowers entrepreneurial Foster students and connect
them to resources in the Seattle start-up and VC communities -- and beyond.
