REVIEW OF BASIC MATH CONCEPTS

Scientific
Notation is a means to express very large or small numbers. __Scientific
notation will be used throughout our courses and you will need to be
comfortable with this concept.__

Substitution is
used to solve for a variable when you have two or more algebraic expressions.

Logarithms. If
you are not sure of the definition of a logarithm, study this link. __Make
sure that you can obtain both logarithms and anti-logs on your calculator.__

Unit conversions
are necessary to convert one type of unit into another.
