REVIEW OF BASIC MATH CONCEPTS

Scientific Notation is a means to express very large or small numbers. Scientific notation will be used throughout our courses and you will need to be comfortable with this concept.

Substitution is used to solve for a variable when you have two or more algebraic expressions.

Logarithms. If you are not sure of the definition of a logarithm, study this link. Make sure that you can obtain both logarithms and anti-logs on your calculator.

Unit conversions are necessary to convert one type of unit into another.
