Jiawen Pi

Ultracold Atoms and Quantum Gases

at the University of Washington

Jiawen was an undergrad student who designed and built a Haensch-Couillaud cavity for generating green light at 556 nm. We wrote a bio for her, but sadly forgot to ask her whether she liked it before she left. So instead we'll just note that she was the lab champion for bringing delicious baked goods to the lab (sorry Jason, you were a close second), the lab leader in fashion (again, sorry Jason), and the person most likely to be wearing IR laser goggles at all times in the lab (not to be confused with Anders, who is the person most likely to be wearing IR laser goggles at all times outside the lab)

"Let me tell you how hard my project was."
