Alan Jamison

Ultracold Atoms and Quantum Gases

at the University of Washington

"Hello"

There have long been rumours of a mythical grad student, supposedly named "Alan Jamison," a field theory ace and published author. Initially, many thought that someone with such characteristics was probably invented by Deep to use as a motivational tool for the rest of us. Recently, however, new evidence has come to light. Evidence that Alan is shockingly real.

At first, we began noticing clandestine relocation of lab equipment for the creation of a rudimentary Fabry Perot cavity of some sort. Next, we uncovered a complex simulation of interferometry with clouds of Bose condensed atoms being performed. Although lab sightings have been rare, this photo, which we have received from the museum on Broadway and Roy, provides the final proof, if any was needed: Alan is definitely among us.
