Integration in Medical Sciences

In Chile, medicine is a 7-year undergraduate program, somehow similar to the French system. Our medical school decided to undergo a curriculum redesign process which culminated in modifications that led to a shorter 6-year program with significant modifications of teaching methods. One of the major modifications was to introduce an Integration track that spans semesters 2 through 10. I was in charge of designing and currently run the integration track for semesters 2 through 5. During these 4 semesters, students engage in practical activities in which they are required to work in teams to solve specific problems using the skills and knowledge acquired in other courses. Some examples of these modules can be found here.
