Since the UW has suspended classroom activities starting Monday, March 9th, here is how we will wrap up the course.

• In-class Exam: Rather than handing your exams back to you on Monday the 9th as originally planned, I will grade your in-class exams, scan them and email the scans individually to you along with a solution sheet. If you want the original paper version of your exam, please email me (dbp@uw.edu), and we'll make arrangements to reunite you with your exam.
• Remaining Three Lectures: I am cancelling the three lectures originally planned for March 9, 11 and 13. The overheads for these lectures are/will be available via the Lecture Overheads page. I will also post some comments about the overheads that I intended to make during the lectures. If you have any questions about this material, please email me (dbp@uw.edu); alternatively, we can talk via Skype or Google+ Hangout.
• Term Projects: Unfortunately, we will have to cancel the in-class presentations of your projects originally planned for Thursday, March 19th (alas, no Top Pot doughnuts!). Rather than turning in a paper copy of your term project, please email your project to me (dbp@uw.edu) in the form of a PDF file by 3PM on Friday, March 20th (no paper copy is needed). Note that I need a PDF file - absolutely NO Word documents (I do not have Word on my Mac, and the viewing software that is supposed to handle Word documents seems incapable of handling equations properly at times). Note also that the 3PM deadline does not mean that you have to email me your project at 2:59PM - I will be overjoyed to get projects hours or days prior to the 3PM deadline!
• Office Hours: I am cancelling office hours for the rest of the quarter. If you have questions about your term projects (or anything else about the course), please send them via email to me (dbp@uw.edu). If need be, we can schedule a Skype or Google+ Hangout session if your questions can be more easily addressed that way.
• Final Comment: stay healthy!

As noted in the Overview page, there will be a 50 minute exam on Friday, 6 March, during class. The exam is closed-book, and no electronic devices of any sort are allowed; however, you may bring a `crib sheet': a single sheet of standard 8.5 by 11 inch paper on which you can write anything you so desire (you may use both sides of the paper). The exam will be based on the material covered in

• sets 1 to 12 of the Lecture Overheads;
• overheads XIII-1 to XIII-51 of the 13th set of Lecture Overheads (these are the ones covering the Yule-Walker method and Burg's algorithm); and
• the seven homework assignments.
