Mid-Term examsThe first mid-term exam will take place on Wednesday, January 29. It will cover material through the end of week #3 on the syllabus. As mentioned in class, there will be two parts to the exam. Part I will consist of five short identifications (out of seven). Most of these IDs will be chosen from the review of terms from weeks 1-3. You are to write 2-3 sentences on each ID giving a short description of the term as well as its significance. Part I is worth 20 points. Part II will be essay. I will write two questions and you will answer one. These questions will be broad and ask you to bring together material from different parts of the course covered up to the exam. I am not looking for you to simply present facts, but rather to use the facts you have to analyze a situation. With only three weeks covered on the syllabus, you should not have a hard time figuring out what the questions will be, broadly speaking. Please bring a blue book and do not write anything in it. You may be asked to switch bluebooks after arriving in class. |
