Colleagues,

As you will recall, on September 23rd I announced the continuing appointment of Dr. John Wott as Acting Director, CUH through either the arrival of Dr David Mabberley or December 31, 2004 which ever came first.

Since that announcement, we have learned that Dr Mabberley's work visa has been granted. However, since we do not have a firm date for his arrival, I am extending Dr Wott's Acting appointment until such time that Dr Mabberley arrives in Seattle to assume his new position. Dr Wott's appointment as Director of the Washington Park Arboretum also continues until the arrival of Dr Mabberley.

I greatly appreciate the extra work load Director Wott has assumed and extend to him our support and best wishes.
