The paper should contain at least 4 "normal" pages of text (excluding figures and references). Please make sure to write all the text yourselves. It should be a clear explanation of a subject related to the curriculum of our class. Examples of themes are (I am open to suggestions from the students):

  • Cleanup of radioactive waste at Hanford.
  • The Fukujima nuclear reactor accident.
  • Storage rings for muons and their use for searching for new physics.
