Mark Zachry is associate professor of technical communication at the University of Washington and editor of Technical Communication Quarterly, the flagship research journal for the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing. He conducts research in human-computer interaction, communication design in organizations, and the rhetorics of technology. He is the co-editor of Communicative Practices in Workplaces and the Professions: Cultural Perspectives on the Regulation of Discourse and Organizations (Baywood). Zachry spent several years working as a communication specialist in industry and has worked as a project consultant for organizations.
