Ellen M. Wijsman

Research Program:

Dr. Wijsman's research is directed towards the development and application of quantitative methods for analysis of human genetic data, including statistical techniques of gene mapping, modelling modes of inheritance, haplotyping, identifying regions of identity-by-descent, and integrating genetic principles with statistical and computational approaches to data analysis.

Specific, recent, projects (no longer funded):

  • Alzheimer's disease
  • Learning disabilities
  • Markov chain Monte Carlo methods in Genetic epidemiology
