Training for Rainier Climb 1996
In May of 1996, while Rainier was still covered with snow, Tom and Scott took a training hike up to Camp Muir at 10,000 ft. The picture above shows the mountain from the Northeast. Gibralter Rock and Disappointment Cleaver are visible high on the shoulder of the mountain.
