Tips for finding rabbits

Step 1.  Drop your keys.  If the ground around your keys looks like this, you are in the right place.

Step 2.  Look under the sagebrush.  If you see jackrabbit forms like this, you are in the right place.

Step 3.  Look up the hillside.  If you see jackrabbit runs so thick that they could be mistaken for motorcycle trails, you are in the right place.

Step 4.  If you can't find any sagebrush, look for cover like this blackberry thicket in western Washington.

Step 5.  If you can't find any rabbits in the blackberries, do what Jerry Fraulini and I are doing, and put some dogs in there.

Step 6.  If you find this when you arrive at the hunting spot, you're too late.
