Use the set of conventional symbols for drawing kinship charts that you learned in the first section, and draw a chart of your own extended family, including everyone you consider to be a relative with any importance in your family life. Label each circle or triangle with the term of reference and term of address you use for that relative, and any time you think there is anything of interest in your relationship to that relative or his or her relationship to the family, write a sentence or two explaining this relationship. You may label the circles and triangles directly, or you may number them and key your answers to the numbers below or on a separate sheet.
