A couple of modern Greek coins commemorate philosophers from antiquity. Below
are a 5-drachma coin featuring an image of Aristotle, and a 10-drachma coin honoring
Democritus. Both coins date from 1992. Note the rather un-Democritean, modern-looking,
representation of an atom on the obverse of the 10-drachma coin.
