Internet technology has
fundamentally altered all our lives.
Future technologies promise to have an even greater impact on the way we
work, live and have fun. Students in
the UW, Bothell MBA E-Commerce class have evaluated four new technologies and
will be presenting their results. Each
presentation will be for about 10 minutes followed by a brief Q&A session.
Here are the titles of the
talk with the profile of the presenters (in random order).
Bio: Leyla
is currently a Product Manager at Boeing. She led systems development and
deployment projects prior to earning her MMgt from UW, Bothell in 2000. She holds a BS from UC Davis and
Certificates in Systems Management and Leadership.
Bios: Robert
Nerenberg is trained as a physicist and has worked as a programmer, researcher,
and project manager. He is currently a
principal engineer at Boeing. His main
academic interest is application of technology to manage and empower large
projects.
Heath
has been a Project Engineer and Financial Analyst at Boeing for 4 years. He
holds a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M
University. His interests are fishing
and reading. He has been married for
nine years, is the proud father of a nine-month old and enjoys his time with
his pet cat.
Bios: Jennifer
Gregor is currently the Siebel Development Manager at AT&T Wireless. Previously she has been a software developer
at AT&T Labs, Argonne National Laboratory, Georgia Pacific, Inc., and
AT&T Wireless. Jennifer received her BS in Computer Science from Western
Washington University and will receive her MBA from the University of
Washington in December 2001.
Randy
is currently Sr. Director of Operations for Philips Ultrasound in Bothell WA.
25 years of management experience in engineering and operations in high
technology. He holds a bachelor of
Technology from Oregon Institute of Technology, and Master of Management from
the University of Washington, Bothell.
Bios: Russ
is currently the materials manager for Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc., a
manufacturer of oceanographic instruments.
His prior experience is in submarine nuclear power plant operations in
the US Navy and is presently a meteorological technician in the Navy Reserves.
Tim
holds a Ph.D.in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona,
Tucson. He has been associated as a researcher
with companies such as Plant Genetics Inc., Advanced Genetic Sciences and DNA
Plant Technologies.
