The normalized time vector, td, can then be plotted against the respective function values, d, of the desired data.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">getWinterData: Plotting Standard Kinematic Curves for Hip, Knee, and Ankle<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This function will create reference vectors to model Winter&#8217;s 1987 kinematics data using the format:\u00a0[values, percent_gate, sd] = getWinterData(joint) (<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0B9jjwmNLdPgBM2hNWWVJcnJWMFU\/view?usp=sharing\">link to .m file<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>By entering &#8216;knee&#8217;, &#8216;ankle&#8217;, or &#8216;hip&#8217; into the function, vectors will be returned \u00a0containing the\u00a0kinematic angles (values), \u00a0stance phase percentages (percent_gate), \u00a0and standard deviation values (sd) of the chosen\u00a0joint.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/faculty.washington.edu\/paubin\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/ankle_standarddeviationexample.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-435 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/faculty.washington.edu\/paubin\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/ankle_standarddeviationexample-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"ankle_standarddeviationexample\" width=\"336\" height=\"252\" srcset=\"https:\/\/faculty.washington.edu\/paubin\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/ankle_standarddeviationexample-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/faculty.washington.edu\/paubin\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/ankle_standarddeviationexample.jpg 560w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 336px) 100vw, 336px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the above example, the ankle vectors have been graphed to display one full stance phase of movement. The dashed line encompasses one standard deviation above and below the ankle averages.
