About

I am an Associate Professor at the University of Washington, Tacoma campus (School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences, Division of Sciences and Mathematics). I earned my MS and PhD in Quantitative Ecology and Resource Management, an interdisciplinary graduate program at the University of Washington. In collaboration with researchers in the Fire and Environmental Research Applications team (US Forest Service, Pacific Northwest Research Station) and an interdisciplinary team at UC Santa Barbara, I utilize an array of quantitative methods to help advance our understanding of landscape fire ecology, fuel treatment effectiveness, fire spread modeling, and interactions between hydrology, fire, carbon, and climate change.
