BIFURCATION THEORY: This lecture introduces the concept of bifurcation theory, showing how parametric dependence of dynamical systems on parameters can lead to changes in behavior of the system.

NORMAL FORMS AND IMPERFECTIONS: This lecture shows that there are a few bifurcations that are canonical, thus termed normal forms, or universal unfoldings. The structural stability of bifurcations are also investigated under perturbation.
