Hi There! I am Ganesh Karthik

I’m someone who believes that diverse perspectives makes way for strong UX designs. Over the years, I have held several roles including that of solutions engineer, a scrum master, a developer, a localization associate, a UX designer and an accessibility tester. Each of these roles gave me unique perspectives and skills to tackle complex user experience issues. I continue to add more skills and perspectives to my design signature with every new opportunity. Throughout my life I have been at the intersection of varying cultures , ethnicities and social classes.I grew up in the middle east (Kuwait and Dubai) to Indian immigrant parents in a predominantly German neighborhood .Later I moved to culturally diverse India to complete my higher education and commenced my professional journey in a multinational software corporation as a software solutions engineer that gave me the opportunity to connect with multiple clients worldwide from east Asia to South America. Through it all cross cultural design of products and technology fascinated my endlessly even if it mean writing English in notebooks which had margins in the right as per the local Arabic language norms during middle school, or constantly confusing the driver’s seat (right side of the car in Dubai and left side in India , or wait , is it the other way around?) or constantly changing my schedules to work with clients in different time zones. In this era of globalization designing products and user experiences that adheres to the specifities of all cultures and social classes is a necessity and is the most effective way to win hearts and this is why I have taken up several disparate roles including a localization associate which allowed me to study cultures in depth. I continue to add more skills and perspectives to improve my design signature with every new opportunity.
