The library now contains\u00a0<strong>3,933<\/strong>\u00a0references of predominantly English-language, peer-reviewed work in the study domains of disaster information and information technologies and their uses in the context of disasters. This represents an increase over the previous version of\u00a0<strong>423<\/strong> references, or\u00a0<strong>11.4%<\/strong>. The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/faculty.washington.edu\/jscholl\/dirl\/history.php\" target=\"_blank\">DIRL release history<\/a> reveals that from the inaugural DIRL version 1.0  to this version (DIRL v. 4.0), the peer-reviewed academic literature has almost quadrupled in the course of little over four years. This is a remarkable increase of the body of academic knowledge in the particular area of disaster information management and disaster information technology within a relatively short period of time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DIRL is intended to become an indispensable tool for Disaster Information and Technology-interested scholars. In particular, reviewers of paper submissions may want to rely on this reference library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Packaged in a zip file,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bibtex.org\" target=\"_blank\">bibTeX<\/a>,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/RIS_(file_format)\" target=\"_blank\">RIS<\/a>\u00a0as well as an Endnote package (enlp) versions are available.\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mendeley.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mendeley<\/a>\u00a0or Zotero versions can easily be created by importing from RIS or bibTeX files.
