CONVENIENT COMPUTING:

Over the years, I have found a number of tools that make computing easier that are not well known to most computer users. Some of these tools are shareware or low cost software. Other tools include useful Word macros, SPSS tricks, and R functions. This page is dedicated to communicating these tools to the general public. It is not subsidized in any way by any of the products mentioned here.

Links to Helpful Software (primarily Windows only software)

ZTREE (http://www.ztree.com/html/ztreewin.htm) is a utility for organizing files. Its purpose is similar to Windows Explorer or MyComputer, but it is much, much, much better than either of these products. The only downside to Ztree has is that it takes a bit of effort to learn to use it. Once you learn a few of its functions, however, it will become one of the most useful pieces of software in your repertoire. You can try it out for free. It presently (2/6/02) costs $30 for a registered copy; but if you don't like it, you don't have to pay for it.
