CERTIFICATE IN APPLIED ANIMAL BEHAVIOR

Satisfactory completion of the University of Washington's Certificate in Applied Animal Behavior Program is frequently noted by the use of the letters 'UW-AAB' after the name of the individual, or the use of the above copywritten logo.

This indicates that the individual has satisfied the requirements of the University of Washington's academic program: three University-level courses taught by PhD faculty with decades of experience in the field of applied animal behavior. These courses include in-depth education in: 

• Modern ethology and animal behavior science; 
• Endocrinology, genetics, and neuroscience as it applies to behavior; 
• Canine, feline, and equine science;  
• Enrichment, welfare, and training science; and
• Clinical treatment using a broad range of tools, from management through behavior modification to veterinary referral.
