Cyberbot
A cyberbot is a software agent which is capable of learning from experience.
It is a situated agent in that it exists in "cyberspace". It must
interact with objects that it finds in that space. An example is a real-time
Web search agent. Our cyberbot searches for Web pages by learning cue words,
which are found in the neighborhood of a hyperlink that, in turn, leads to a
page containing user-supplied key words. The cyberbot uses the same kind of
foraging search procedure that is used in MAVRIC
(a physical robot).
The cyberbot project is currently on hold owing to a dirth of students interested
in this application. But look for more information in the not-too-distant-future!
