Heat Transfer

Our next two models involved a slight detour from the previous three reaction models. We developed a steady-state model for heat transfer in a fluid in one dimension: Model 4a; and a two-dimensional model for heat transfer in a solid: Model 4b. Heat transfer was not easily included into the models we had developed up to this point. However, the process of examining heat transfer in isolation gave us insights into the phenomena that were useful when everything was brought together in Model 5.
