Conclusions

The series of models we developed of our microreactor show that transport phenomena in microreactors are different than those of traditional reactors. The assumptions commonly made in traditional reactor design are probably not valid in the regimes that microreactors operate in. The loss of these simplifying assumptions suggest that more complicated models than those commonly used are required to adequately investigate the properties of microreactors. Just see what Dr. Finlayson has to say about microreactors.
