Euler to Razumovsky

Synopsis : Euler's congratulations to Razumovsky on his
installation to the Ismailovsy Regiment and the
birth of a new son.
[...] The gracious news that His Imperial Majesty has chosen to bestow the highest awards to Your Excellency by conferring the important rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Ismailovsky Regiment, has made a very strong impression on me. This news which now has become considerably enhanced by the beautiful news that the Almighty has blessed you with the birth of a new Comte, and one who has already proved himself so eminently to his Imperial Majesty.
It is at the height of these lofty happinesses, Monseigneur, that I present, to Your Excellency, the effects of my great joy by offering my very humble congratulations and my most ardent wishes for prosperity and all sorts of blessings for Your Excellency. I hope that heaven continues to endow us with new subjects so that we may be joyous in our happiness of Your Excellency.
