Instructions for students who have used Blackboard before and already have an account:

  1. Go to Blackboard at http://bb.uwb.edu/.
  2. Click on the Login button and put in the same login and password you had previously. Many UWB students used their student number for both the login and password. If a student's number starts with zeros, those zeros are left off.
  3. Click on the Courses tab. To find your course, type the course ID in the Course Search box. Scroll down the page to get to the title of your course. You can also browse for your course under the Bothell link in the Course Catalog area.
  4. Click on the Enroll button on the right side of your course. Click on the Submit button at the bottom of the screen and then on OK.
  5. If a course area requires a password, get it from your instructor. (You can contact me using the link above.)

Instructions for students who are new to Blackboard: How to create an account and enroll in a course:

  1. Go to Blackboard at http://bb.uwb.edu/.
  2. Click on the Create Account button.
  3. Fill in only the information with the red asterisk. UWB's Information Systems staff members recommend that your user ID be the same as your UWB computer logon. Click on the Submit button at the bottom of the page and then click on OK.
  4. Click on the Courses tab. To find your course, type the course ID in the Course Search box. Scroll down the page to get to the title of your course. You can also browse for your course under the Bothell link in the Course Catalog area.
  5. Click on the Enroll button on the right side of your course. Click on the Submit button at the bottom of the screen and then on OK.
  6. If a course area requires a password, get it from your instructor. (You can contact me using the link above.)

Blackboard course areas often have a closing date, after which you will be unable to enroll, so be sure to enroll by the instructor's stated deadline.

If you have questions, contact the instructor or Andreas Brockhaus (ABrockhaus@uwb.edu), the UWB Information Systems staffperson responsible for Blackboard.
