This morning we went on a tour of the Campo dei Fiori market, the market right by our apartment. We first went to the meat shop. They had lamb brains, pig hearts, hooves, intestine, liver, whole ducks, chicken and another bird that I can’t remember the name of. They had whole rabbits with the eyes still in. There were cow stomachs and cow spleen. There was a half of a lamb with half of the rib cage. The tour guide said that they sell every part of the pig. We  then toured the other shops and stands in the market.

Swordfish

Eel and shrimp
Skates

Today we went to the fish shop by our apartment. There are swordfish, tuna, octopus, squid, stingray, sardines, clams, shrimp, mussels, cod and other types of fish.

We went to circus maximus, an old horse racing track, I ran around the track twice. The track is about a mile long. It was fun because I knew that 2600 years ago horses raced on the track. At one time there was a stadium around it that could hold 350,000 spectators.

Friday 11-21 to Sunday 11-23
A Canal in Venice
St. Georgio Maggiore in Venice
A gondola ride in Venice
Pigeons in St. Mark's Square
Pigeon
Pigeons

This weekend I was visiting Venice and Florence. It was very fun and interesting. In Florence we climbed to the top of the dome on the Duomo. It was a little smaller than St. Peter’s, but it was still really big. After one and a half days in Florence we went on a train to Venice. Venice is especially cool because instead of roads they have water canals. There are lots of boats in the water, on the way to our hotel I went on a water taxi. We went to St. Mark’s Square, were I fed the pigeons. I got them to land on my arm and eat out of my hands. It was really fun. We went inside St. Mark’s church, it had something called the golden altar screen it has all sorts of gems and jewels on it. It had gold, ruby, pearl, emerald, sapphire, topaz, and amethyst. It is worth millions of dollars. We went on a ride in a gondola, which is a little rowboat. It was really fun. Venice and Florence were really interesting places.
