Today we went to the crypt of the Cappuccini monks; it has about 1,000 people in it. Oh, did I mention dead people? There were monks that haven't even decayed all the way. There were lamps made out of bones. There were 2,000 shoulder blades. It was scary. There were at least 100,000 bones in the crypt. |

Today we went to the church of San Clemente. The church had three layers. There was a stream . I could hear it in the hall. The top layer is 900 years old, and is a famous Christian church. The middle section is partially excavated and is 1500 years old. The bottom part is 2,000 years old and there was a shape there of Mithras killing a bull. We went to another church which has the throne of the pope and is the church of the world. People think that that St. Peter's head and someone elses head is in a statue with their bones. But then there is a statue of St. Peter with two huge keys and a dove on top. There are lots of paintings of the popes and there are statues of the popes and there is a statue of St Peter being crucified, one of St. Simon reading, and the church that we were in is called the Mother of all churches. It is the Lateran church. |

Today I went to mass at a church called San Ignacio. It was a Jesuit church. It was very long. It was in Italian. I did not understand any of it, but I kind of knew what was happening. I liked the ceiling because it had paintings on it. I drew a picture of wood model of all the Jesuit churches in the world. |
