A tomb in San Pietro in Vincoli

Today I visited San Pietro in Vincoli (St. Peter in Chains), which is a famous Italian church. It has two amazing relics, Moses by Michelangelo and St. Peter's chains. Moses by Michelangelo is the famous sculpture depicting Moses with horns. Michelangelo carved Moses this way because he misinterpreted the Bible. St. Peter's chains at one time held St. Peter, and are very fascinating to see. This church was very pretty and fun to visit.

Tuesday 12-2
Santa Maria della Pace
Sant'Agnese in Agone, with the Piazza Navona Christmas market
Piazza Navona

Today is my last day in Rome, and I spent it doing lots of fun activities. In the morning, while heading to the Julius Caesar exhibit, I stopped at two interesting churches, one was a beautiful circular church called Santa Maria della Pace. After that we went to the exhibit, which included lots of fascinating relics and statues of Caesar and other Romans. I really liked the exhibit, and all the ancient things in it. Later, I visited the Crypta Balbi, and saw some very cool statues. In the middle ages they burned the statues down for mortar. I also went to the church Sanat Maria Sopra Minerva. Inside this huge church, I saw the tomb of St. Catherine of Siena, the "Risen Christ" statue by Michelangelo, and the tomb of Fra Angelico. This church was very large and interesting.
