1997 WWW Résumé Workshop:

{If you want us to organize another workshop of this kind, you need to let us know!}

May 22, 1997 (Thursday),
11:30-12:20,
in 415 Smith (Collaboratory)

(http://faculty.washington.edu/krumme/projects/resume.html)

You are invited to a workshop on producing and displaying résumés on your own Web site, Thursday, May 22, 11:30-12:20, in the Geography Collaboratory, Smith 415. Eric Nordstrom, career counselor and webmaster at the UW Center For Career Services, will lead the workshop with some general advice and examples for writing effective résumés, emphasizing the special requirements and opportunities associated with presenting résumés on the WWW.

Plans are to use as much of the remaining time as possible on actually getting your resume, or a draft of it, onto your Web site (i.e. as an initially "hidden" HTML file). However, further editing, follow-ups in our weekly clinics or individual appointments with Eric Nordstrom may be necessary.

If you already have a Web site, bring the disk with your resume file so it can be added to their web site. If you already have a resume on your home page, you may want to volunteer it for a general review. Otherwise, just sit back and make plans for impressing potential employers with your Web resume in the future.

If you want to create an initial Web site quickly before the beginning of the workshop, show up at the Collaboratory at 11:00. There will be help available.

You do NOT need to sign up for this workshop. Just come.
