Location Selection
Guide
1. Locate near residential area with population of approximately 20,000 - 25,000. Our customers are usually between 18 and 49 years old.
2. The less affluent side of town is desirable, but not essential. Two working parents make good customers.
3. A) Free-standing, highly visible locations are most desirable.
B) Locations in a medium-sized strip shopping center are also desirable.
--Busy drive-home street.
--right hand side of road.
--Traffic counts should be obtained from the local municipality for the traffic flows for the area; 1500 to 2500 cars during the period from. 4:00pm to 6:00pm is good.
4. Locate near other stores that are open in the evening up to 9:00pm or 10:00pm. Locate near the following types of stores:
A) McDonalds or Burger Kings
B) Seven-Eleven stores
C) Grocery stores
D) Video stores
E) Liquor stores
F) Other fast food stores
5. The area should be checked for
other pizza stores and restaurants. If there are none the residents may
not eat pizza! Locating near another pizza store should not be a
deterrent.
"Locations To Be Avoided"
1. Areas with no evening activity or traffic.
2. Large shopping malls with interior mall stores.
3. Downtown locations where there is no residential support for the store in the evening.
4. Locations where the population is largely retirement age.
