Intamin AG Monorail Technologies

Intamin AG is a designer, builder and operator of transportation systems, including People Porters, straddle and suspended monorails, various people movers, inclined railroads and elevators, gondola and funicular systems. The Intamin People Porter is a proven and attactive vehicle, fully automated people mover successfully operating at Lotte World in Korea. The People Porter Systems have been operated previously in several locations, including Baden-Baden in Germany. The Intiman suspended monorail system is currently operating at Bush Gardens in Flordia. Intamin was one of two competitors hired by the Regional Transit Authority to propose a Personal Rapid Transit technology for possible use in various suburban areas in the Chicago region. It was not successful in this competition as the TAXI 2000 concept was selected by the RTA Board.
