In all problems, except Problem 2-11,  use the linear theory for relations between elongations and displacements.  Problem 2-11 does not require such relations.

 Let D_AB and D_AC be the bar elongations induced by displacements (u, v) of ring A.

a) Express D_AB and D_AC  in terms of u and v using the linear theory.

b) Determine the extensional strains in the bars for u = 0.25, v = -0.73 in.

c) If some loading causes strains e_AB = 0.02 and e_AC = 0.035, what will be the displacements of the ring?
