ERIC Database - available without charge via AskERIC
The ERIC Database serves as an index to articles in education journals and a wide variety of document types, e.g. conference papers, lesson plans, curricula, etc. submitted to the ERIC clearinghouse by educators. Covers all levels of education, preschool, K-12, higher education, adult education, etc.

Provides links to an extensive selection of Curriculum Materials Resources on the Web including national and state K-12 educational standards and lesson plan resource sites. What follows are just a few examples of sites listed here:

AskERIC
An extension of the ERIC clearinghouse providing access to the web sites and databases of the 16 component ERIC clearinghouses, lesson plans, and Q&A service. The alphabetical site index provides quick introduction to resources on specific topics, e.g. Integrated/Interdisciplinary Approach, Multicultural Education, Vocational Education, and more. Don't stop with these - use the searchable sections of this site!!

The Gateway to Educational Materials
Searchable database, sponsored by a consortium of governmental, educational, and for-profit organizations, coordinated by the US Dept. of Education.

Diversity Database
One of many resources provided through DiversityWeb: An Interactive Resource Hub for Higher Education at the University of Maryland.

Knowledge Network: Global and U.S. Diversity

World Lecture Hall
Contains links to course materials for university-level courses. All are courses offered at accredited colleges and universities around the world. Some, though not all, of these courses are offered entirely over the Internet. Some, though not all, offer college credit through distance learning.
