Spawning salmon in McAleer Creek

On Oct 2, 1999, we spotted a salmon spawning in McAleer Creek, as it flows through Blue Heron Park. (Click on photos to enlarge.)

Until this point, the salmon was stationary in this small eddy, when...suddenly it decided to swim upstream, under a fallen tree branch.
