Required readings in place of Ron Sims' talk:
1. Material under the following sections of the Sims' Global Warming Initiative web site: "Land Use", "Transportation", "Environment", "Clean Energy", and "Executive Orders" (skim this last tab).
2. Press Release on King County joining the Chicago Climate Exchange: Click Here
Pay close attention to how what King County is doing is woven
throughout many sectors of public life (health, transportation, land use, etc.)
and how it is connected to science. There is plenty more to explore on the main
web
site so feel free, but I will just hold you responsible for the things outlined
above.
