170 Calendar of upcoming events and assignments:

Monday, October 27: Midterm

Thursday, November 6: Math Fair at Concord Elementary School. Even if you are not doing it as a project, you are welcome to come and observe and take part.

Monday or Wednesday, November 10 or 12, those of you doing tutoring as a project, please give me your journals to read through (I’ll get them back quickly so you can continue them.)

Wednesday, November 12: For those who chose What’s Math Got to Do with It? for their project, reflection paper due.

Thursday, November 13: Math Fest (much larger crowd and more going on) at Rainier Community Center. Volunteers needed; flyer is attached.

Wednesday, November 19: For those who chose What’s Math Got to Do with It? for their project, Op-Ed due

Wednesday, November 26: No class

Monday, December 1: Reflection paper on Zazlavski’s “Fear of Math” due (description is attached to web page).

Note that there will also be a regular assignment due, to offset the class cancellation for Thanksgiving.

Wednesday, December 3: Tutoring journals due. Don’t forget the final entry (described on the Project page.)

Monday, December 8, 4:30 – 6:30 Final exam in regular classroom
