Director, Chandigarh Urban Lab, University of Washington 2008 – present
Responsible for vision, strategic planning, logistics, networking, fiscal management.
Organized collaborative studios, symposia, exhibits and community charrettes for interdisciplinary research laboratory to study contemporary urbanization and preservation in globalization; attended by over 200 students from architecture, landscape architecture and urban design and planning, along with over 60 academics and professionals from 4 continents. www.chandigarhurbanlab.org

Chair, Department of Architecture, University of Washington 2002 – 2007
Responsible for overall intellectual and administrative leadership, fiscal and personnel management, university and community outreach, diversity.
Developed new strategic plan and departmental vision, improved national ranking; created new revenue programs, led capital campaign with alumni and local partners that raised over $5 million ($16 million in College); established new faculty lines, increased department budget; recruited and promoted over 20 full time faculty and over 50 part-time faculty, reorganized student services, reestablished student council; established two new research degree programs, led accreditation process, designed diversity recruitment initiative; built interdisciplinary courses and links with other Departments across College & University, developed new University global initiatives with Offices of Provost and Vice-President; steered Professionals’ Advisory Council, held 2 international symposia, started new departmental journal and University Press book series; attracted international distinguished visitors to lecture and teach.

Associate Dean for External Affairs, College of Arch & Urban Planning, University of Washington 2001 – 2002
Responsible for developing new non-state revenues, lecture series and outreach.
Created new revenue programs with Vice Provost for Educational Outreach & local professional community members, helped create new interdisciplinary Ph.D., curated College Lecture Series; developed select links with Asia (Japan, Singapore, India), represented College in professional and civic meetings.
