You are required to hand in a short project proposal on November 18th, the third class discussion period. The purpose of the proposal is to focus your ideas for your final project and to continue conversations between you and your TA on your project. Good proposals should include a statement on what you intend to do, an explanation of how the project engages with themes from the class, a description of how you intend to go about it (including a description of your materials if your not doing a research paper), and an annotated reference on an outside source that you intend to use to develop your ideas. Please feel free to incorporate questions in your proposal, especially if these are questions your project is designed to address. Please note: each student is required to turn in a project proposal, even if you are working collaboratively. Proposals for collaborative projects should describe exactly who will do what on the project.

Let the projects begin!
